It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I extend my warmest welcome to the 3rd Iraqi Cancer Board Conference, to be held under the theme “Cancer in Iraq: Looking Back, Moving Forward” on October 2–3, 2025, at the authentic city of Baghdad.
As the President of this Conference and Minister of Health in Iraq, I am deeply committed to advancing our nation’s fight against cancer through collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based policymaking. This year’s conference represents a pivotal opportunity to reflect on our achievements, confront existing challenges, and unite toward a future where cancer care in Iraq meets the international standards. Furthermore, the scientific program has been meticulously designed to address the full continuum of cancer care—from prevention and early detection to cutting-edge treatments and palliative support. Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, we will:
